Is there a waiting list for a parking permit?
There is a waiting list for all lots at this time. The approximate wait time for Wallace Road lot is 10 years, Alexander Road lot 2 years, and Vaughn Drive lot 2 - 4 weeks. The Wallace Road and Vaughn Drive lots are available to residents of West Windsor Township only.

Is there a place to make payment for my permit after hours?
Yes, there is a drop box located inside the train station.  Payments are collected daily.

Online Credit Card Transaction Fees

When did this go into effect?   
The decision was made in November of 2016 to add a transaction fee to offset the rising credit card fee costs that have quadrupled in the last two years. The transaction went live on all online transactions as of January 1, 2017

Why wasn’t I told of it?  
Last November we sent out emails and letters to your registered email and home addresses to let you know of the changes coming in the new year. We sent the notices out several months ago so that when the 2nd quarter billing came due those of our customers who use transit wage reduction system will have time to alter their withholdings to account for the additional fee.

I don’t have enough on my wage works card to pay for the additional fee; can you waive it for me? We cannot waive the fee as it would not be fair to our other customers. You can still pay with cash or check mailed to our office or placed in the drop box.

I didn’t change my withholding and now it’s too late to do it. Can I do a split payment on multiple cards?
  The software does not permit us to charge less than the full amount due on one payment method.  You may want to contact the withholding company that you use to see if they can either reimburse you for the payment this month or have a check cut to us for the monthly payment before the 15th.  You will also want to change your withholding going forward to accommodate the transaction fee.

I didn’t expect the transaction fee so my payment was received late. Will my late fee be waived? Unfortunately, we cannot waive this fee. Proper and sufficient notice of the upcoming fee was provided and we cannot excuse any late fees due to this.

Who do I talk to about getting this fee removed? 
The Parking Authority Board meets every 2nd Wednesday at 7:30 pm in the West Windsor Parking Authority office.  Patrons are always welcome to join this public meeting to discuss any concerns.  We hold a section of our agenda open for public discussion at the beginning of the meeting.

 

What happens if I don’t receive my new permit at the start of the quarter?
Patrons who have not received their Rideshare parking permits must contact the Authority within 2 weeks after the start of the new quarter to request a replacement permit at no cost. Patrons contacting the Authority thereafter will be charged a permit replacement fee of $30.

What do we do if we purchase a new vehicle?
Patrons who have purchased a new vehicle must register the Temporary Registration/Plate # with the West Windsor Parking Authority prior to parking the vehicle by emailing to the address below the temporary plate #, type of vehicle, and your permit #. Once you receive your permanent registration and insurance ID, please go to Manage Your Account on the Parking Authority website and add your new vehicle.  Or you can scan the documents and email them to info@westwindsorpa.com or fax them to 609-799-3634.

What do I do if I lose my Rideshare permit?
Lost permits must be reported to the Authority immediately. Replacements will be issued by the Authority at a cost to the permit holder of $30.

What do I do if my permit is stolen?
Stolen permits must be reported to the Police Department responsible for the municipality in which the theft occurs. Upon receipt of a copy of the police report we will issue a replacement permit free of charge.

What do I do if I forget to display my Rideshare permit?
Any vehicle, which fails to display their valid permit, will be subject to ticketing and/or towing at the owner’s expense. We regret that we cannot accommodate those of you who may forget your permit from time to time.

Do we have handicap parking?
Handicap parking is available in both daily lots. There is also handicap parking in the permit lots but this is for our handicapped permit holders only.

What happens if I do not accept a permit when offered?
A permit must be accepted within the quarter it is being offered. If a customer denies the invitation and comes back at a later date there will be a $50 penalty imposed per each quarter missed since the time of the offer.
